Never those predictions I posted earlier.
Here are the real results.
South Frontenac
Ron Vandewal is the Mayor-elect for South Frontenac. He beat Alan Mcphail by less than 300 votes, polling just over 3,000. John Macewen finished a distance third.
In Loughborough District, Ross Sutherland was the highest vote-getter, with over a thousand votes. He will be joined by Mark Schjerning who out-polled Fran Willes by only 4 votes, 688-684.
In Portland District, the incumbants, John McDougall and Bill Robinson were returned.
Suzanne Ruttan won a relatively tight trustee race for Limestone District School Board over Lindsay Davidson, by 400 votes. Lynda Hawn finished a distant third.
In the race for Trustee for the Algonquin and Lakeshore District School Board, we hafe reports that Wendy Procter (388) defeated Jodi Cameron (362) but we are waiting for final confirmation
Central Frontenac
Frances Smith received almost 2/3 of the vote, (1996) and has unseated two term incumbant Janet Gutowski (1083). Eight years ago, it was Gutowski who unseated a two term Mayor, Bill MacDonald, by a similar margin.
Kennebec Ward
Incumbant Tom Dewey (386) was returned, but Jeff Matson (355) lost out to newcomer Cindy Kelsey (375), while Logan Murray finished 4th (237)
In Olden ward another incumbant was defeated. Jamie Riddell topped all candidates (309) whle Victor Heese finished second (291) Cory Thomson (227) John Purdon (224) and Justin Gray (112)
In Oso ward it was Bill MacDonald topping all votegetters (508) followd by newvomber Sherry Whan (388). Wayne Millar was third (323) followed by Dennis Scott (190) and Bob Olmstead (182)
In Hinchinbrooke ward, Phillip Smith received the most votes (349) followed by Brent Cameron (334). Heather Fox (320) and Sharbot Shepherd (313) just missed out, and Jim Lowery rounded out the race (204)
Karen Mcgregor won the Limestone Board trustee race in landslide (2748) receiving mroe votes than the combined total of her competition, Steve Magee (1057) and Dave Kendal (994)
North Frontenac
Ron Higgins (1359) more than doubled Claudio Valentini (630)
In Ward 1 the incumbants were returned. Fred Perry (537) followd by Wauyne Good (403) and Lonny Watkins (300)
In Ward 2 incumbant Gerry Martin was returned (549) and Vernon Hermer (377) edged out Betty Hunter (372)
In Ward 3, incumbant John Inglis was returned easily (419) and Denis Bedard toook the second position (312) with Fred Fowler (289) being the odd man out.
Addington Highlands
Henry Hogg (923) almost tripled Gerald Bray (363) in the race for Reeve
In ward 1 (Denbigh) Tony Fritsch was returned (377) and Kirby Thompson (321) will be the other member of Council. Eythel Grant (302) lost out by 19 votes and Alice Madigan (247) finished fourth.
In Tay Valley South Sherbrooke ward Roxanne Darling (446) and Mark Burnham (359) were both re-eelcted. Neil Bova (177) finished thrid.
In the race for Deputy Reeve Brian Campbell (1565) beat Mick Wiklum (1314)
