Allison (Allie) Montgomery is celebrating two anniversaries this month.

This Saturday, from 10am – 2pm, tents and tables will be set up in front of the Back to Health Clinic in Inverary, as practitioners from the clinic will be on hand to talk about what they offer, and to help celebrate the first anniversary of the clinic's opening, last May.

2024 is also the 10th anniversary of the start of Back to Health, which Allie operated out of her home in Battersea until last year.

Even before opening the Inverary clinic last year, two other Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs), Alexandra Kerr and Amanda Grinnell, had joined Allie at Back to Health. And with the new location offering additional capacity, another RMT, Judy Gerber Van-Vliet, has come on board. Together, the four of them bring a wealth of experience and expertise in treating a variety of conditions and clientele at every stage of life.

Ashley Howatt, a holistic health coach and personal trainer, has also joined Back to Health, as has Chiropractor Dr. Lindsay Bourque, and yoga instructor Renee Thibodeau.

That makes 7 practitioners providing independent services in a collaborative environment at “Back to Health.”

“We've really grown,” said Allie Montgomery, reflecting on how the last year has gone at the clinic.

She said that being located on Perth Road, which is a busy commuter corridor, and very close to Inverary, in a location with both Chan Pharmasave and the Cookery, has paid off.

“My dad always said 'location, location, location' which has turned out to be true in this case, and he said 'businesses grow businesses' which has also turned out to be true”, she said.

The clinic has treatment rooms for the RMTs and the Chiropractor, a dedicated room for personal training and Yoga, and offers infrared sauna treatments, and it will also have enough space for new practitioners.

“Our RMTs are doing well, and we are actually looking for another one, as well as other people in order to offer more and more service to people, saving the need for a trip to Kingston for service. It would be great to have a physiotherapist operating out of our clinic, to further fill out our services, and we are always working on bringing other new people in.”

At the anniversary event, there will be tables set up outside the clinic, to meet and greet the healthcare professionals working out of the clinic. There will also be treats, “amazing” door prizes, free yoga on the lawn from 10am – 11:30am, a free fitness class at 11:45, and tours of the clinic will be available.

“We are hoping for good weather, of course, for people to come and help us celebrate, and for both our existing clientele, and for people who have seen the sign by the road and wondered what we have to offer, to come and find out.”
