Volunteers needed for South Frontenac policing survey
Greetings to all residents of South Frontenac Township : A telephone survey will be conducted from Frontenac OPP detachment this fall during late October and November.
The PFR (Policing for Results) Survey will be asking residents of South Frontenac Township how effective they feel their police service - Frontenac OPP - is at policing their community.
We are looking for volunteers who would be able to attend our detachment on week-day evenings for approximately two hours, between the hours of 7 and 9 p.m. to conduct the survey. For those who find a Saturday or Sunday more convenient, we can schedule times suitable to them.
The volunteers will be contacting residents of South Frontenac Township by telephone using a computer generated random telephone list. Township residents will be asked to participate in the survey, which consists of questions on policing, read from a computer program by the volunteer. The volunteer also provides the participant with a choice of responses available and then notes in the program the participant’s response. Anyone with basic telephone and computer skills would feel comfortable conducting the survey. An orientation session will be held to familiarize the volunteers with the computer survey program and to address any questions they may have.A schedule for the volunteers will be set-up to accommodate preferred times and dates to conduct the surveys.Lead volunteer Ron Mattey, who has organized prior surveys, or I, George Hiles, will be on site during the survey sessions to assist the volunteers if required. The more volunteers we have, the sooner we can complete the survey. Please consider joining us, along with some of your neighbours, to help complete this important project in determining how our residents feel about their policing service in South Frontenac Township .
To facilitate your access to the OPP facility at Hartington and the computer system, you will be requested to provide your full name, 911 mailing address, date of birth, telephone number and email address.A police background check will be conducted to enable you to access these areas.
If you would like to join us in conducting the survey, please email me (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) with the information requested above. I will acknowledge receipt of your email and keep you posted as to when the orientation session(s) is planned and obtain your input as to what times and days of the week you would like to participate. Thanks for your interest.
