During the summer months, the Frontenac News will be profiling local restaurants and what they have to offer. This week’s profiled community is Maberly. As there is only one eating establishment in this town (as far as we know), this review will focus on the Fall River Pub and Grill.The Fall River Pub and Grill is a charming restaurant and gift shop located on Highway 7 just south of the town of Maberly . It is beautiful inside and out, with a patio available for outdoor dining. Fall River boasts an environmentally and community friendly approach to its food preparation, seeking to buy locally grown and organic ingredients for the dishes available on its menu. This spirit of community support not only benefits local farmers and produce providers, but also gives guests a fresher, more flavourful dining experience.The lunch menu offers soups, salads, burgers, wraps, potpies, and sandwiches ranging in price from $4.99 to $10.50.The dinner menu includes an assortment of pastas (starting at $14.99) and entrees such as lamb, beef, and chicken, and more exotic dishes such as duck, venison, tuna, and arctic char. Entrees start at $19.99. Appetizers are also available. Fall River also offers specialty coffee and locally-produced ice cream in the shop next to the main building.
