Lanark Highlands seeking photos

Lanark , ON The Township of Lanark Highlands is seeking photographs to showcase in the 2007 Lanark Highlands Calendar.

Have you taken exceptional photographs of your family, friends or visitors enjoying what Lanark Highlands has to offer? If so, then Lanark Highlands wants you! The Township’s 2007 Calendar and other promotional materials will showcase residents and visitors enjoying many of the amazing local activities and events available year-round. Statistics show that people respond more favourably to pictures and images depicting individuals enjoying their surroundings, compared to pictures that simply show scenery. Using photos of local residents and visitors engaged in activities will help to promote tourism and travel to the Highlands area in all seasons.

Photo submissions are not restricted to residents of Lanark Highlands, however the photos must have been taken within the Township of Lanark Highlands. Photographers are encouraged to include many different activities that can be enjoyed in our municipality water sports, festivals and events, recreation, shopping, agricultural fairs, artisan tours, visiting heritage locations and more! The photos should depict individuals living an active, healthy and fun lifestyle.

Photographers are asked to submit their pictures on a CD and also will be required to sign a Photographer Consent Form. Individuals shown in your pictures (or their parent/guardian) will need to complete a Model Release Form. Submitted photos will be considered for use in the 2007 Calendar as well as in other promotional publications and future advertising. Deadline for the submission of pictures is September 30, 2006 to be considered for the 2007 calendar. Photos will also be accepted on an on-going basis for other promotional materials.
