Feature Article - August 23, 2007Community family fun event
"This is the fourth year we have sponsored the Community Family Fun Event," says Pastor Ed Beattie. "There will be games, prizes, a barbeque and corn roast. Avalanche Ranch reunion, free used clothing booth, and live concerts featuring The MacCallum Family and Country Church Band."
"The Community Family Fun Event is an exciting way for our community to get together as a group and have some fun," says Pastor Ed. "Last year, in spite of the rain, we had approximately 99 in attendance. This year we are adding a theme to the event Western! Everyone is invited and we encourage you to dress in your western gear, bring your family and friends, and lawn chairs and join us in the park. Come, relax, have fun!"
The Community Family Fun Event will be held on Sunday, August 26 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm at the Oso Park and Beach. All activities are free but there will be a free will offering container set out by the barbeque for those wishing to help with the cost of the event. For information, call 613-279-2267.
