Wouldn't it be loverly?
All I want is a room somewhere
Far away from the cold night air
With one enormous chair
Oh, wouldn't it be loverly?
Lots of chocolate for me to eat
Lots of coal makin' lots of heat
Warm face, warm hands, warm feet
Oh, wouldn't it be loverly?

Loverly. What a word. Of course, not a real word, but when Julie Andrew sings and Audrey Hepburn acts, well, loverly becomes a word. A word that means everything lovely, in a bit of an overdose. It is lovely to be away from the cold night air, but loverly to be in one enormous chair. Lovely to eat lots of chocolate, but loverly to have warm face, warm hands and warm feet.

Lovely to listen to your Christmas Carols alone, but loverly to see the smiles in the street and feel the warmth of happiness that radiates out of the nursing home.

Lovely feelings have built up every moment as we head to the full Christmas Season at our club, and within our community. Santa has addressed the community and let them know that he will be coming to the club on the 23rd of November and for this year; and there he was welcomed with fireworks. The fence is in full Christmas décor and there are two extra-handsome Nutcrackers at the entrance of the hall waiting to salute everyone. Vendors have booked their tables to be part of the 10th Annual Market Extravaganza on the 30th of Nov, and everyone who attended found a Christmas treasure to gift. The Elves of the Workshop are preparing for yet another round of crazy fun-time with the kids – both old and young on the 14th of Dec.

But, those feelings only changes into loverly, when we see you all, our friends, our families, our community walking into our hall.

Till we meet again in a Roar, watch Christmas movies, get your annual over-dose of Christmas carols in your car, your home, the mall; and meet us at Santa’s Workshop at the Lions Club of Land O’ Lakes to make our Christmas, and yours LOVERLY.
