New Services Available At Back to Health Massage & Wellness
Allison (Allie) Montgomery moved her Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) practice from her home clinic in Battersea to Back to Health Massage & Wellness in Inverary in 2023, with two goals in mind.
She wanted to create a better work-life balance while establishing a welcoming clinic where a variety of healthcare services would be available to both existing and new patients. She also hoped to foster close collaboration among healthcare practitioners.

From the beginning, Back to Health has had a strong foundation in massage therapy. Alongside Allie, three other Registered Massage Therapists — Alexandra Kerr, Alissa Collins and Aurora Hillier — also practice at the clinic.
Renee Thibodeau provides yoga instruction at the clinic, while Jess from Autumn Moon offers monthly sound bath sessions, providing another opportunity for relaxation and overall well-being.
Expanding the range of services has always been a priority. The addition of chiropractor Dr. Cheri Lafreniere was an important step toward that goal. Since joining the clinic, Dr. Cheri has been able to grow her local practice substantially and now spends three days a week in Inverary.
Approximately two months ago, physiotherapist Stephanie Collings joined the team.
“It was one of my priorities to bring in a physiotherapist, as this is something I can offer my patients and the community as a whole. I find Steph’s hands-on approach to physiotherapy extremely helpful,” said Allie.
Stephanie Collings combines hands-on therapy with evidence-informed techniques, which may include joint mobilizations, soft tissue therapy, acupuncture, dry needling, cupping, K-Taping and individualized exercise programs to support healing, restore function and help patients move with confidence.
Stephanie believes every patient deserves to feel heard, understood and supported, whether they are recovering from an injury or surgery, managing ongoing pain, or simply looking to move and feel better.
This month, psychotherapist Abigail (Abby) Reist, RP(Q), is also joining the team, expanding the clinic’s services to include mental health support.
Allie explained that each practitioner maintains their own schedule, allowing the clinic flexibility to grow and expand its services to meet the needs of the community.
“I would love to have an osteopath and a nutritionist here. That would be a real benefit to the community, so we will keep working on that,” Allie said.
For now, she is pleased to have nine people working at Back to Health, providing patients with a variety of healthcare options close to home, without having to travel into Kingston.
“With patient permission, we can share information and collaborate on individualized treatment plans to help each patient achieve the best possible outcomes. That collaborative approach is an important part of the culture we are building here in Inverary,” Allie said.
Back to Health received the 2025 Frontenac County Women-Led Business Award and has continued to grow since then.
