One newspaper

Your headline about one newspaper for all Ontario, of June 29, does not go far enough. There is a paper for all Ontario, the Globe and Mail. All it needs is for a page insert for the various regions, no different than separate editions for Toronto, and BC.

Part of the problem is limited thinking about the purpose of newspapers.

It is more than a business; it is also a service.

The fire department does not make a profit, nor do a lot of other services.

Think about it.
