After reading the article in the paper regarding bylaw officer and their duties, I need to ask why they do not have the power to lay charges.
When I found a large amount of garbage dumped on my land, I called the township of Central Frontenac and a bylaw officer came and took pictures and paperwork that had the names and addresses of who dumped the garbage and yet they were not made to clean up their garbage.
So, our township employees had to come and clean this mess which should not have been their responsibility. I’m sure this is not part of their duties. So, in regard to more bylaw officers being hired, what is the point if they cannot enforce the law.
Thank you to the staff that cleaned this mess. I’m sure I’m not the only one with this problem, but it has to stop.
