The Land O’ Lakes Speakers’ Forum, now beginning its third season, has emerged as a cherished, inspiring event within the community. The Forum, which is a partnership between the Cloyne Pioneer Museum & Archives and the Lions Club of Land O’ Lakes, brings together a diverse array of speakers, each contributing their unique perspectives to a range of engaging conversations that resonate with attendees long after the event has concluded.

Land O’ Lakes Speakers’ Forum has set the standard for thought-provoking discussions. Renowned for its commitment to excellence, the forum builds its roster of speakers, ensuring that each event offers a blend of insight, innovation, and inspiration. This dedication to quality has earned the forum a reputation as a must-attend activity every fourth Wednesday from April to September at the Lions Club of Land o’Lakes hall in Nortbrook. From renowned authors and scholars to industry leaders and changemakers, the forum attracts individuals who are experts in their respective fields. These speakers delve into a wide range of topics, from science and technology to arts and culture.

Through interactive Q&A sessions and networking opportunities, the forum ensures that every attendee is getting the most of their time. Attendees have the chance to engage directly with speakers, posing questions and sharing their own insights at the end of every session. This dynamic exchange of ideas is at the heart of the forum's mission, creating a vibrant and inclusive environment where everyone can contribute to the conversation.

The Land O’ Lakes Speakers’ Forum is committed to making its events accessible to all members of the community. Recognizing the importance of inclusivity, the forum offers a range of accommodations to ensure that everyone can participate fully, wheelchair-accessible venue, and a public address system that ensures everyone can hear loud and clear. Every effort is made to remove barriers and create a welcoming environment.

In addition to physical accessibility, the forum also strives to make its content accessible with the distribution of written pamphlets about each speaker, as well as written briefs about the topic on the event website https://pioneer.mazinaw.on.ca/speakers-forum/

As a further level of engagement, the Speakers’ Forum is supported by the Kingston Frontenac Public Library which provides the attendees with a list of books on the subject that the community can request be sent to any of its branches: Cloyne or Plevna.

As the Land O’ Lakes Speakers’ Forum continues to grow, its future looks bright. Plans are underway to expand the scope of the forum, bringing in an even wider array of speakers and topics. The forum is also exploring new ways to engage the community, including virtual events.

The continued success of the Forum also relies on the community providing insights on the topics they would like to know more about, as well as their input on speakers they would like to meet in the future.

Naturally, the Forum is only possible through the continued financial and volunteer efforts of both organizations; as well as the financial support from supporting organizations. This year’s lineup is supported, thankfully, by Naturally L&A.

The Land O’ Lakes Speakers’ Forum is more than just an event; it is a vital part of the Land O’ Lakes community. As it continues to evolve and expand, the forum will undoubtedly remain a cherished institution, enriching the lives of all who participate.

For those seeking to engage with thought leaders, connect with their community, and be inspired by new ideas, the Land O’ Lakes Speakers’ Forum is an unmissable opportunity. Join us at the next event on the 23rd of April, 2025 doors open at 6:30pm and become a part of this vibrant and exciting experience.
