It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Nathaniel George Hinchey at the age of 87 years old. He passed away peacefully at Village Green Nursing Home in Selby, Ontario on Saturday, December 16, 2023. Loving husband of Madeline for 67 years. Dear father of Jim (Susan) of Oshawa, Ontario, Donald (Penny) of Kaladar, Ontario and Hope (Sammy) of Columbus, Georgia. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Kirk (Hiliary), Kelly (Chris), Katie, Jordan (Morgan), Tanner (Alexandria), Blair, Brianna, Morgan and Rebecca. Never forgotten by his great-grandchildren, Keenan, Hollis, Jordan, Logan, Charleigh, Ainsley, Quinn and one great-great-grandchild Noah. Predeceased by his parents William and Edna, and his siblings Wilfred, Jim and June. He will also be lovingly remembered by his niece and nephews along with his extended family and friends.John was born and lived his entire life in Elm Tree. He loved to hunt and to spend time in his garden. His family was his pride and joy. We will forever miss your smart ass remarks, your sass and your constant teasing. We would like to thank all those involved in his care and for their compassion in recent months. In has not gone unrecognized. Cremation has taken place with Milestone Funeral Center, Northbrook. At Johns request there will be no service. Go Rest High on that Mountain John, we love you.
