Passed on May 23, 2024 at Belleville, Ontario in his 54th year. Greg will be missed the most by his spouse Cheryl Kille, her son Marcus Davy (Charlene), and their five grandchildren. He was the beloved son of Ed Baird (Shirley), and the late Karen Head. The dear brother of Laurie Gregoire (Richard), the late Mike Baird (Kayla), and Charlene Barker (Danny), Greg will be also sadly missed by stepbrothers Gary Hickey (Tina), Dean Hickey (Violet), and Darrell Hickey. He was a strong, funny, and steady presence who touched many lives, including his extended family of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as numerous friends, coworkers, and fellow tradesmen at United Association Local 401, where Greg was a proud union member. Arrangements entrusted to RUSHNELL FUNERAL HOMES - Belleville, 80 Highland Avenue, Belleville, Ontario (613-968-5588). Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will follow, and a Celebration of Life is planned at a future date. In lieu of cards or flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada in Greg’s memory would be welcomed. During his final days, an outpouring of support and expressions of great memories and funny stories were received by the family, who sends their thanks to all who reached out. Also, the family also sends a heartfelt appreciation to all the doctors, nurses, and staff at Quinte Health - Belleville General Hospital ICU for their exceptional care, understanding, and compassion during Greg’s stay.
