Passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness at Providence Care Hospital, Kingston on Wednesday, April 3 , 2024 at the age of 78. Jack will be forever missed by his devoted wife Barbara (nee McKee) of 28 years. Cherished father of Jack Quigley Jr. (Amy) of South Carolina and Donald Quigley (Lory) of Whitby. He will be lovingly remembered by his 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Beloved brother of Doug Quigley (Midge) of Cobourg, Donald Quigley (Francine) of Cobourg. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends as well as his furry companion Betty. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Grace Quigley (nee McIvor), as well as his siblings Larry Quigley (late Linda), Josephine Waghorn (late Len), Grace Byrd (Walter), and Joseph Quigley (Nancy West).

Jack was born in Cobourg on October 9, 1945. In 1989, he and Barb moved from Port Hope to Flinton to start their own renovation business, Jack’s House and Cottage Repair. Throughout their renovation career, Jack and Barb worked side by side. They earned a stellar reputation by offering fair and honest services, including lawn care, pump maintenance, cottage opening and closing, deck building, roof replacement, kitchen and bathroom renovations, and much more.

Jack had many passions, including fishing, hunting partridge, and working with his hands. He cherished their vegetable and flower gardens and took great pride in growing and raising their own food, such as eggs and chickens. His love of the outdoors and fishing was a joy he shared with his grandsons and nephews.

Cremation has been entrusted to Milestone Funeral Center, Northbrook. A Celebration of Jack’s Life will be held on the Canada Day weekend at Jack’s home in Flinton.
