It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Catherine Thompson. Catherine passed away peacefully at the Pine Meadow Nursing Home, in Northbrook on Friday, October 18, 2024. Loving wife of 64 wonderful years to Frank Thompson. Dear mother of the late Ronnie (Dec. 31 2000), Colleen Fleury (Pierre and Beverly Thompson (Bill). Grandma will always be cherished in the hearts of get grandsons the late Matthew Thompson (August 8, 2014), Shane Fleury, Jeremy Thompson (Rebecca), and Tyler Fleury. She will be sadly missed by her sisters Ida Brough (Don), and Margaret Wood (late Gordon). Predeceased by her parents Randolph and Clara McLuckie, her brothers Harold, Robert, Floyd, Don, Ralph, Alec and Neil and her sisters Mary, Eva, Doris and Norma. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Pine Meadow for the exceptional care and love given to Catherine during her stay. Thanks for making her and her family comfortable in her final days. As per Catherine’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
