James “Jim” England

Passed away peacefully at home in Sharbot Lake surrounded by his family on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at the age of 76. Jim will be forever missed by his devoted wife Barb (nee Dowdall) of 54 years. Cherished father of Mary O’Brien (Sean) of Smiths Falls, Paula England of Sharbot Lake, Julie McDougall (Roger) of Perth and Jamie Malone (Cory) of Sharbot Lake. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Erica (Ben), Tristan (Harmony), Seth (Hannah), Darrion (Makayla), Chandler, Rowan and Ryder as well as his great- grandchildren Octavia, Scout and Atlas. Beloved brother of Merv England (late Jose) of Toronto, Dorothy Burke (Gerald) of Sharbot Lake, Janice Peters (Don) of Sharbot Lake as well as his sisters-in-law Doreen England of Sharbot lake and Connie Coyle of Ottawa. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents William and Mary England (nee Bevan) and siblings Gwen Sinclair (late Harry), Vic England (late Shirley), Bob England and Garnet England.

Visitation was held at Goodfellow’s Funeral Home, Parham on Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm – 8:00pm. Visitation was also be held on Monday October 28, 2024 from 10:00 am -11:00 am with a Celebration of Jim’s life to follow in the Chapel at 11:00 am. A Graveside Service will be held at the Zealand Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donation made to the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital, Perth Site or the Humane Society of your choosing would be appreciated by the family.
