Rose (Caroline) Tooley, a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was 97 years old.
Born on February 13 1927, Rose grew up in a home filled with faith and love which shaped her deeply. She married the love of her life, Snowden Tooley, and together they built a strong and beautiful family, raising seven children. Rose is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, this year would have been 77 years, Snowden (August 31, 1995) and son Bill (September 17, 2021). Rose is survived by her six children: (daughterin-law Linda), Larry (Judy), Janet (Bill), Monica, Cathy (Boyd), Connie (Paul June 20, 2017) and Ronald (Karen). She also leaves behind 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 4 great greatgrandchildren who brought immense joy to her life. Rose took pride in her children and treasured the role of motherhood, dedicating herself fully to their happiness and well-being.
A devout Catholic, Rose’s faith guided her daily life and was a source of inspiration for her family and friends. She was an active member of her parish, spending countless hours volunteering for church activities, supporting community programs, and helping those in need. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to her beliefs left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Rose’s warm smile, gentle spirit, and selfless love extended beyond her family. She was a cornerstone of her community, always ready to lend a hand or share a home cooked meal. Her legacy of compassion and dedication will live on through the countless lives she touched.
She is also remembered fondly by her extended family and friends, whose hearts are forever shaped by her love and example.
Visitation will be held on December 6, 2024(2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm9:00pm) at St. Kilian’s Roman Catholic Church. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Kilian’s Roman Catholic Church on December 7, 2024 at 11am, followed by interment at St. Kilian’s Roman Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Kilian’s Roman Catholic Church (payable to St. John the Evangelist/St. Kilian)in Rose’s memory, reflecting her lifelong commitment to helping the parish.
Rose (Caroline) Tooley will be deeply missed but fondly remembered as a beacon of love, faith, and devotion. May she rest in eternal peace.
