Norma was a longtime partner of the Trent Valley Country Jamboree. She was employed by Ampliphone, McFarland Gendron, Beaver Foods (Sir James Whitney School, Loyalist College, and Quinte Secondary School) and Belleville General Hospital in her many years of work. Norma entered and won a poetry contest and was invited to go to Washington to read her work. She enjoyed her time together with her numerous friends in her writing groups. She and some of her writing partners in Plevna wrote a play called The Wedding, it is still being shared and enjoyed in that area. She also wrote articles for the North Frontenac Newspaper in the Plevna section describing local events and happenings.
Norma was proud of the fact that she was one of the pioneers in creating the Links for Learning Program that is still available at the Quinte Bible Chapel.
A special thank you to the doctors and medical staff of BGH and Quinte Gardens.
Norma will be cremated and buried with her predeceased husband Don on a later date at the Holy Trinity Cemetery in Plevna, with a celebration of life to follow. Mom will be lovingly remembered by all.
