It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bruce Norman, beloved husband of Neva Norman and best friend George Desrochers. Bruce passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, craftsmanship, and cherished memories. He will be dearly missed by his children, Stephanie Norman and Gord Norman, and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Bruce, Gabe, Natalie and her partner Liv, Jack, Olive and Neebin and grandchild Cassidy. Bruce was predeceased by his brothers Ted and George Norman, and is survived by his youngest sister Carolyn and her husband Mike Kelly, as well as the entire Norman Family, Larry and Marnie. Bruce was an avid sportsman throughout his life. Whether it was football, swimming, or baseball, there was no stopping “Orange” when he was on a mission. He grew up surrounded by family and friends, and could often be found in a boat on Buck Lake or Big Clear Lake, where he was famous for his legendary fish fries and unforgettable parties. A natural storyteller and prankster, Bruce had a gift for making people laugh. His joy was infectious, and his presence lit up every room. He also had a deep love for woodworking and took immense pride in running his sawmill and Ramparts Lumber, a business he co-founded with his good friend George. Bruce spent his life building cottages and homes, and his craftsmanship can be seen across South Frontenac, a lasting testament to his skill and dedication. There will be no formal service and Neva and family are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, memories, and support shared by family and friends during this difficult time. Bruce, your laughter, your stories, and your spirit will never be forgotten.
