Family is saddened to share Wayne Eric Hansen passed peacefully early Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Kingston General Hospital in his 74 the year. Survived by his daughter Carrie and son Tyler and their families.
Predeceased by his parents Paul and Harriett (Hattie) Hansen, and siblings Dennis (late Helen), Joan Van Luven (late Glen), Neil, Marilyn Bartraw and Linda. Loving survived by sister in law Gail Hansen and brother in law Garry Bartraw. He will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Wayne was a long time employee of Walmart over 20 years. During his life sports played a big part. Wayne was a star player for many years in the Loughborough-Softball league and Kingston Softball league. He was a strong pitcher and great at bat. Wayne continued his love for softball with umpiring for the next generation. In the winter his passion turned to hockey, where he played goalie. Wayne was a die heart Maple Leafs fan for 51 years. Wayne's other passion was fishing. He enjoyed many fishing trips on locate lakes with family and friends
Wayne's wishes were for cremation with no visitation or service.
A celebration of Life will be held at a later date in spring after burial in Harrowsmith Cemetary.
