Rev. Oscar W Simpson passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, February 5, 2026 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Eleanor (nee Wart). Loving father of Daniel (Sharlene), Catherine Simpson, Christopher (Louise), Proud grandfather of Jordan, Christopher, Amanda, Laura, Nicole, Jamee, Kristina, Olivia, Kourtnie. Great Grandfather “GG”to 8 great-grandchildren Grayson, Vivian, Selah, Caspian, Kiptyn, Tob, Calihan and Claire.
Dear brother of Carol Alexander (late Donnie). Oscar was predeceased by his brother Albert (late Loretta), sister Jeannette Wilson (late Richard), Eleanor Shannon (late Ken) and by his parents George and Ella Simpson. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and their families.
A Celebration Life will be held at Verona Free Methodist Church on Saturday February 28, 2026 at 11:00 am. Reception will follow at Free Methodist Church. For those desiring, memorial donations can be made to Verona Free Methodist Church or Verona Pentecostal Church in memory of Rev. Oscar Simpson.
