Chuck died at home with his wife Dawn at his side.
Chuck is survived by his wife Dawn, children Jason (Kimberley) of Yarker, Ashley (Jesse) of Boston, Joshua (Melissa) of Kingston, grandchildren Clark, Wade, Aurora, Maeve, Liam, and Leila.
Predeceased by parents Mark and Elizabeth, sister Dawn Hansen (Dave) and brother Dave (Prudy).
Chuck grew up in Parham and worked for the ambulance service before being hired by the OPP in 1981. He was posted to the Alliston, Kaladar, and the Sharbot Lake detachments. After serving 30 years, he retired in 2011.
A celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
