My Dearest Warren,

It is with profound sadness that I must write this message, not to you, but about you. My Warren, my Warren Thomas Walker, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 28th, 2026. You fought so hard, but in the end, life had other plans.

You were the most valiant social soul, and your heart belonged to Big Gull Lake. You treasured the ability to move here from the city to enjoy all the pleasures of lake life, and you made this cottage our haven.

We can only remember the leader in charge who took us on those unforgettable annual boat rides, dropping in at friends and family docks for moments of hugs and chats. You were the one who led us to the Bathtub and Picnic Island, and brought us home for our legendary BBQs and "tribal councils," where your stories went beyond anyone’s imagination. You were the leader of our "pack," our rock, and the consummate jovial soul who only ever wanted to hear our stories and share your own silly jokes and daily hellos.

You embraced every friend, family member, and guest, arriving with the goal of creating the best experience ever. You never let anyone leave without their assistance to help keep the cottage operating and standing, making them a true part of our lives here. And of course, it was of utmost importance that everyone had the Camps Bay treat of ice cream—delivered by boat or golf cart—no weekend went without it. You truly embraced all the people in our community who invited us into their lives and always remembered those who helped us build our beautiful Lakeside retreat.

You were our soul and our character, Warren. The gap you leave behind is immeasurable. I will cherish every memory of our life and love, and I will carry your beautiful spirit with me always.

With all my love,

Diana
