It is with broken hearts and tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Shirley Evelyn Caird (Deyo). Mom passed away on April 2nd 2026 in her 85th year. Mom spent her last hours surrounded by the love of her family. What brings us great solace is that she is now home with her lord and savior and reunited with our dad.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to moms Pastors for their many prayers, visits and spiritual support. Your presence brought mom great comfort and strength. We are also deeply grateful to moms church family for the countless prayers, kindness and love shown to her over the years. Mom truly cherished her church community, and carried that love in her heart always.
To the many friends, personal support workers, caring nurses and wonderful neighbors who supported our Mother while she remained in her home, we cannot thank you enough. Your compassion, kindness and willingness to help our mom brought her comfort and dignity, and brought us peace of mind.
Predeceased by her parents Ken & Lena Deyo, her husband Ron Caird and her sister Linda Neff. Treasured mother of Brenda (Mark) Wanda (Chris). Cherished Grandma of Ethan (Chelsea) Morgan (Darcy). Proud Great Grandma of Colton, Harleigh and Ellie.
Cremation has taken place. A private service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to moms church, Sydenham Holiness Church by cash, cheque or etransfer at [email protected]. Or to Southern Frontenac Community Services (Adult Day Program) in Sydenham.
