Passed away suddenly at his home in Northbrook, Ontario on Saturday, September 19, 2026 in his 69th year. If anyone could truly be described as the heart of a community, it was Donny. He had a way of making people feel welcome, supported and never alone. He was always the first to offer a helping hand and more often than not, the last to leave when someone needed him. Don never missed an opportunity to share a laugh. He was quick with a joke, always ready for some good natured teasing and he loved nothing more than when someone could come back with a great one of their own. His kindness, humour and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Donny is predeceased by his beloved wife Leigh, his father Albert, sister Alice Cichioki and sister Janet Gibbs. Donny will be deeply missed by his sons Joshua (Amanda) Winwood and Travis (Melanie) Winwood and his cherished grandchildren, Aria, Zoe and Paige. Don also left behind his mother Nancy and siblings Beth McCellean (Ian), Dan Fobert (Ann), Ron Fobert, Vicky Corkey (Joey) and Valerie Fobert; brother-in-law Ken Cichioki; 18 nieces and nephews and 14 great nieces and nephews.
