New Digs for "Connections"
Connections Adult Learning has been seeking a new location for its Sharbot Lake headquarters for a number of years, hoping to find an opportunity to have more visibility in the core of the hamlet.
When Executive Director Tracy Riddell learned that the former home of Lake District Realty had been purchased, she found out that Cezar Spirala and Kelly Teeuwsen, the former owners of the Springwood Resort in Arden, had purchased the building and were willing to lease it out. She wasted not time having a look, taking other Connections staff along with her.
“We knew this was a solution to our location concerns, and Cezar and Nola have been wonderful to deal with, committing to making changes in order for the building to be accessible in the near future,” she said.
The building is compact, but is larger than it looks from Road 38, and has ample classroom and office space for Connections’ needs.
“We partner so much with Keys Employment Services and Rural Frontenac Community Services that being just around the corner is ideal.”
Connections offers a wide range of classes of interest to learners in the region, out of this new office in Sharbot Lake and their location in Northbrook. This fall, a new class in the use of AI is coming up. For further information about courses, go to Connectionsadultlearning.ca
