Empty Bowls Returns to Arden
Saturday Feb 14th marks the 7th annual Empty Bowls fundraiser in at the Kennebec Hall in Arden.
Empty Bowls is truly a community effort—from handcrafted bowls donated by local potters, to delicious soups, stews, and baked goods made by local chefs, to a kitchen full of volunteers generously giving their time. One of the best parts is seeing people sit together, share a meal, and connect. In the end, the food bank benefits—but so do we all.
(Thanks to this amazing community, we’ve raised over $10,000 for the local food bank so far.)
Handcrafted bowls are made by Waters Edge Pottery and Arden Pottery.
For $25, you can choose a handmade pottery bowl and have it filled with your choice of homemade soup, chili, or stew.
This year’s menu includes: Basil tomato soup with blue cheese topping; Venison chili; Three Sisters soup (corn, squash, beans – vegan); Hungarian goulash; Beef stew; Curried squash soup; French Canadian bean soup; Beef and barley; Potato leek; Potato bacon

All meals are served with a crusty roll. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate will be available, along with plenty of delicious desserts. All proceeds go directly to the local food bank.
