Central Frontenac Garbage Pickup

A public meeting on the proposed municipal garbage pick up matter will be held on Fri. Feb. 27, at the Township office to “apparently” determine if the “issue” should go on the next election ballot. I don’t want an increase in taxes to pay for this “service” which is probably some big plot in disguise. In order to “address” this I hope I don’t have to revive my bush communication techniques. Can you imagine the cost of this “service”? If folks want garbage pick up then get a private contractor who I’m sure could use the money. Our taxes are high enough and our roads people are stretched to their limits, while providing excellent service big time all the time. More municipal employees on garbage pick up adds to the nightmare of our fantastic roads people. For that matter- why not spend this money on roads and buy more road equipment rather than garbage trucks and garbage pick up people. Our personal finances are also stretched- so let’s kick out and refuse this idea of municipal garbage pick up. The municipality doesn’t need to undercut private garbage pick up people and we don’t need to pay extra taxes!! Another part of this ordeal would be just how did this “issue” get so far along, and how did it even get on the agenda? Our municipal employees are already overstretched and I’m sure don’t have time for this “issue” along with their already overloaded schedules. Sharpen up everyone, or as my father (God rest his soul) would say “do you want to see daylight under both heels at once? If so keep on!!”. I’m sure he would also suggest in a not so kindly way that bullet proof vests be part of the potential garbage pick up people’s attire!
