From the Storrington Lions Den

This past weekend was a busy one for the Storrington Lions as we created some exciting firsts for our community.

On Saturday, we held our very first Crafter’s Destash. This event allowed local crafters to downsize their craft supplies and offer them to others at discounted prices, while also giving shoppers the chance to search through a variety of materials and discover new and interesting finds. The club hosted 22 crafters, and there were plenty of great bargains and hidden treasures to be found. If you missed this one, stay tuned for the date of our Fall Crafter’s Destash. New ideas like this often come from community members, and when there is a need, the Lions will always try to make it happen.

On Sunday, we held our second-last Chili & Euchre of the season. The atmosphere was lively, and everyone enjoyed an afternoon of Euchre along with delicious homemade chili prepared by our very own Lions. No one left hungry! We also had some great prizes for our winners. First place received a prize donated by The Cookery, and we also had gift certificates for our next event — our Annual Fish Fry coming up soon.

Be sure to watch our Facebook page for updates on upcoming events.
