Verona Lion Honoured for Service

At a recognition ceremony held on June 26, several outstanding members were honored for their remarkable service to the Lions Club and the community. Life Member Lion John Steele received the Distinguished Service Award in recognition of an extraordinary 45 years of executive service as the club's secretary.

The club also awarded Life Membership to two long-serving and devoted members, Doreen Morey and Dale Morey, recognizing their many years of dedicated service.

In addition, the Verona Lions Club inducted four Honorary Members in appreciation of their continued support and outstanding volunteer contributions to our community. Congratulations to Joyce Casement, Doug Casement, David Bertram, and Linda Bertram on this well-deserved recognition.

Verona is looking forward to the Garlic Farmers' Market and the Verona Lions Car Show in September. These events not only bring our community together but also help raise funds that are returned to local causes throughout the year.

Thank you, Verona Lions, for everything you do.
