Alexis Irish With Her Gift Basket from Angie Deline (A Can So You Don't Have To)

Alexis Irish was at North of 7 one day last week, when she came upon a senior citizen who had run into car troubles and found himself stranded in the parking lot of the grocery store. Irish, a mother of four young children, took the time to help the man with his groceries and to get him on his way home.

She said that she would like to think that if her grandparent needed similar help, she hoped that someone would step forward for them.

A few days later, Alexis went to the St. Killian's Church Bake Sale, where the summer crowd gobbled up everything that was available. One of the vendors at the bake sale is Angela Deline, whose business is called “I Can when you Can’t”. She ran a fundraising raffle for a Jam and Jelly Basket. And the winner of the raffle on Saturday was … Alexis Irish.

St Killian’s has one more bake sale coming up this season, at the end of September (Saturday, September 26) Details will be posted on their Facebook page. Meanwhile, Alexis Irish will be cycling through her jams and jellies in her full house.
