Canada's Wildfire Crisis

Gas and oil are profiting wildly this summer, with record breaking profits!  At the same time, many in our country are experiencing all the effects of climate change: higher than ever before flooding, unbearable heat, wildfires in many places, and dangerous smoke drifting from those fires to many other communities, not to mention the millions of wild animals dying in the wildfires.  It's unprecedented and frankly terrifying. 

Rather than holding polluters accountable, the federal government is now handing over billions in public money to the oil and gas industry, our money, for new pipeline projects. That money could fund healthcare and wildfire response, and\or a real transition to renewable energy.

Why are we being asked to subsidize the same industry driving the disasters we're living through? Please demand our leaders make polluters pay, instead of covering the costs of their expansions!
