Celebrating Frontenac Businesses: Last Call for Nominations
This is the final week to nominate a business for the 2026 Frontenac County Business Awards.
Across Frontenac County, local businesses do more than provide products and services. They create connections, support local initiatives, welcome visitors, build partnerships, and help strengthen the communities we call home. The Frontenac County Business Awards recognize the business and entrepreneurs making a positive impact across the County.
The Business Awards celebrate leadership, innovation, collaboration, sustainability, and community spirit through seven categories: Business of the Year, New Business, Partnership and Collaboration, Innovation in Sustainability, Women-Led Business, Tourism Business, Accessibility.
New for 2026, the Tourism Business Award recognizes businesses that create memorable visitor experiences and help showcase Frontenac as a destination worth exploring. The Accessibility Award, in partnership with the Accessibility Advisory Committee, honours businesses or organizations that are removing barriers and improving accessibility for all.
Nominations are open until October 28 at noon, and winners will be announced at the Frontenac County Business Awards Celebration on November 10. Award recipients will receive a locally created award designed by Frontenac County artist Debra Krakow, along with a photography session.
Now is the time to recognize the businesses that have made a difference in your life and community. Think about the local business you visit, the services you rely on, and the owners who go above and beyond everyday. Whether they’ve welcomed visitors, embraced innovation, built community partnerships, or improved accessibility, your nomination helps celebrate their contribution to our community.
Don’t miss your chance to recognize the businesses helping make Frontenac a wonderful place to live, work, and play. Submit your nominations this week!
