The 2011 Relay for Life Committee is sending an open invitation to all of our teams, sponsors and the community to come out to our Relay Kickoff, Saturday April 9, proudly sponsored by the Sharbot Lake Country Inn.
This free event will be held from 2-4PM in the newly renovated Crossings Pub. Snacks and coffee/tea will be provided and a cash bar will be available.
All teams are asked to attend the kickoff as it will provide all the information you’ll need to make your night on June 3 a success. Not on a team? You can register for one right at the kickoff.
All teams that are represented at the kickoff will be entered into a draw to win “The Ultimate Relay Package”. This package includes first choice of campsite, first in line for the Firefighter’s Breakfast, first team leading the way after the Survivor’s Victory Lap, and many more perks to make your experience more enjoyable. Make sure one of your team members comes out to be entered into this draw. Currently we have 11 teams registered and we are well on our way to our goal of 36 teams.
The kickoff is your opportunity to learn more about The Canadian Cancer Society and the Relay for Life. Even if you cannot participate in the Relay, you can take the opportunity to pledge other walkers or purchase a Luminary to honour a Survivor or remember a loved one who has lost the battle with cancer.
Everyone is welcome, so come on out for a Saturday afternoon, and together we can Celebrate, Remember, and Fight Back.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all our current sponsors. The Independent Order of Oddfellows and Rebekahs, North Frontenac Telephone Company, W.A.Robinson and Associates, The Frontenac News, Sharbot Lake Pharmacy, The Rising Bun Bakery and Tea Room, Lake District Realty, Drapeau Automatic Sprinkler Corp, and the Sharbot Lake Country Inn. Without their support, this event would be impossible.
