The Inroads Studio Tour located in the beautiful Land O’Lakes region, just North of Kingston, runs daily 10am-5pm from Friday, September 2 through Monday September 5. As new and returning artists make the tour interesting, informative and inspiring, it promises to be as popular as ever this year. At Studio 10, Geoffrey Murray a designer and graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design will add a contemporary feel to the tour this year. His focus on design extends to stores, restaurants, homes and offices as well as fashion. Willa Murray, a fashion accessory designer will also be showing her work at Studio 10. Bob Miller is returning to the tour this year and will be located at Studio 11. Bob is a long-time resident of the area and has been making handcrafted guitars, mandolins and dulcimers since 1978, some of which he will have on display.
If your tastes runs towards something a little smaller and something you can wear, Laurel Minutillo, of Laurel Leaf Studio will have her handcrafted silver jewellery on display at Studio 7 this year. She has been exploring other mediums such as wood as well as different techniques in the production of her jewellery and other items.
Come and enjoy the work of these artists as well as the work of more than 20 others. Find that unique something for yourself or someone special. Enjoy delicious culinary delights at the Kennebec Community Hall offered by Ella's Cafe or those at Studio 14, the location of Sharbot Lake Country Inn.
