Caylie Runciman | Oct 11, 2023
Presented by Port William Sound in collaboration with Belong, Bry Webb & Cots will be performing on the evening of October 21st in Sharbot Lake.
Webb is a singer-songwriter based in Guelph, best known for his work with beloved Canadian rock band the Constantines.
“Run With Me”, his first solo album in 9 years and the follow-up to 2014’s “Free Will”, will be released on November 3rd. In the lead up to this release, he’s touring with support from Montreal-based composer, singer and guitarist, Steph Yates (Cots), whose dark, ethereal 5-song EP “Moonlit Building” was released in January. Her work has been likened to Feist’s Let it Die by CBC Music, but a more suitable reference might be to the avant-pop of Stereolab or Broadcast. But these are only touchstones for newcomers to the perfectly off-kilter and matchless song-weaving of Cots.
The show will take place at Belong, and along with the intimate performance, the restaurant will be offering a special pre-show dinner, available by reservation.
