Visitors to the Sharbot Lake library this summer may have noticed a bit of a revamp to the garden beds under the library windows. Thanks to a few Villages Beautiful volunteers the old, overgrown beds were dug up, new planters constructed and shrubs and flowers tucked in. The results have been most rewarding and passersby frequently give a thumbs up to the volunteers maintaining the beds. The front door of the library got a much needed refresh too thanks to a talented cottage resident.
Villages Beautiful is a loose knit group of local residents with a common desire to enhance our public spaces. We are always looking for new recruits so if you like playing in the dirt, find weeding to be just a little bit therapeutic and enjoy a bit of social interaction please join us!
