Well to my Family, Friends, and Community, the time has arrived.

As of September 2024 Memory Lane Flowers will be closing its door to the public.

{ I still have a few special events and weddings to complete for which I am very much committed to completing}

As most know, however some may not be aware, the past few years have been a challenge with ongoing minor, but lifelong health issues. I am fine, but this has been a good eye opener to me on how important it is that one’s health, one’s happiness, one’s knowledge of when it is time to say Adieu, should take precedence!

For the past 27 + years I have had the privilege of working with and in this wonderful Community and surrounding areas… I have met and dealt with numerous roadblocks throughout this journey including the pandemic and have survived well!

My Customer base when I first took over as florist in the area was minimal. Now, I can proudly say I have a wonderful group of very loyal repetitive clients, in our area, across Canada, plus, I reached a global level with clients in UK, Australia, South America and beyond….

I have tried my absolute best to keep my Customer Service top notch, feel proud that I did, and even when I did have a few floral glitches, ( and not many I will say however, when dealing with nature, you never know) I maintained that ‘ I will fix it’ or “let me find that out for you”, attitude! Whether it was on my end or even from a customer’s perspective, the end result was 100% I never made promises I could not keep, but went to great attempts to make sure wishes were met to my clients.

It has been my pleasure to help with floral for many occasions, new Babies, new homes, jobs, Christmas events, birthdays, Weddings, Galas, and yes, even Retirements!

My true crème de la crème’ was when asked to create floral designs for your loved ones for Celebration of Life moments. This touched my heart to the fullest ~ I tried to make sure your loved one was represented well and with due respect! As we are unique individuals in this world, I did my utmost to create unique arrangements.

So going out as 2023 Business of Year recipient truly made my journey a full circle one. From a daycare provider, former owner of the Chip Truck owner here in Sydenham, (aka head fry chef), to owner of the Tea Room with the ambiance of yesteryear, to Florist of choice…Memory Lane has been a constant!

I say Thank You from the bottom of my heart, to YOU. How fortunate I have been to be working and living in such a loving and supportive Community

I shall still be involved personally with the Community, just in a different perspective with Volunteering.

Till we meet again… for today’s choice is to know that this is not a final goodbye, but rather a new age of

“Hello I’m Christine” …. to let the conversations flow… and Friendships Last a Lifetime!
