Keith Allen Foster passed away peacefully at Hillcrest Village Care Centre in Midland on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at the age of 98.
He was surrounded by his daughter and son-in law in his final moments.
Beloved husband of the late Ruth (Collier), Keith was a devoted father to Ann (John) Leonard and was predeceased by his son Randy and baby daughter Nancy.
He was a much-loved grandfather to Ryan (Stephanie) Marshall of Heidelberg and Jillian Marshall of Pickering.
A proud great-grandfather, he cherished Brendan, Olivia, Owen, Parkin, and Liam.
Keith was the dear brother of Margaret Kerr and brother-in-law to Margaret Foster, the wife of his late brother Ross.
He was loved by many nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Prince Edward County, Keith farmed on Jericho Road before selling the farm and moving to Cloyne, Ontario, with Ruth. They settled on Storey Lake, where they lived for 45 years and traveled the world together. Later in life, Keith moved to the Riverine Retirement Home in Napanee.
A child at heart, Keith found joy in building things for his grandchildren, including a dollhouse, a duck paddle boat for Storey Lake, and handmade toy cars and trucks.
He spent countless hours in his workshop, flew model airplanes on the farm, and had a passion for working on Volkswagens.
Over the years, he owned a dune buggy and a motorcycle—always embracing adventure.
As his granddaughter once said, “Grandpa was just an antique little boy.”
Keith will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by those who truly loved him. Arrangements have been entrusted to Milestone Funeral Center, Northbrook.
A private family graveside service will be held in Flinton United Church Cemetery at a later date. Online condolences, photos and memories can be shared at www.milestonefuneralcenter.com.
