Henderson
Jean Brown

The family of the late Alvin VanNess celebrated his life at the Arden Legion last Sunday. Folks shared stories and memories of this great outdoors man who was cherished by his best Friend Elda, and a Dad to Kevin & Kim; a Sister to Doreen, and a stepfather to Cindy and Nicky and Pupa to Rebecca and Mitch. It was wonderful to see Rebecca Kelsey home for the funeral and bopping up and down the roads like the good old days. We love you to pieces dear!

Great news- the north end of Henderson Road is “getting done” soon and crews have been spotted brushing the sides of the road, marking the culverts, and staking the power lines. Be sure to run out with easter eggs for our hard working crews and for our super duper municipal counsellor Cindy Knight-Kelsey.

On Easter Saturday, March 30 the OPP will be at Mike Deans in Sharbot Lake from 10- 2 seeking your help to stuff the cruiser full of food for the North Frontenac Food Bank. Come and have a visit and drop of some non-perishable food items.

Also on Easter Sat, the Arden Legion hosts the Easter Family Breakfast from 8- 10am followed by a Children’s Easter party hosted by Kennebec Recreation at their hall that features a party, games, easter egg hunt and a hot dog luncheon. Hop on over for some yummy fun times!

Our Pine Meadow People rocked St. Patricks Day with Irish music by Tom McIntosh, while wearing green and drinking yummy shamrock shakes. Then for Easter the Golden Girls and many other groups and families are delivering Easter treats and messages. Thanks, and Happy Easter!!
