I propose a Clothing Swap on Saturday, June 22nd, from 10am to 11am at the Ompah Community Centre. No money exchanged, men’s/women’s/children’s clothes welcome, check out the offerings, even if you have nothing to swap. Happy Father's Day to all celebrating this weekend.
Wow, what a great show of support on Friday night and Saturday for the Tournament to support Zach Norris. The tournament started off with some wet weather and man, did it pour!! Two teams battled it out through the rain with the puddles and mud flying...and maybe a bat or two!!! But the sky cleared up making way for a great evening of ball for the second game and the weather cooperated for Saturday! Thank you to organizer Tammy Dupuis and helpers (and there were a lot!) for putting this together to help Zach and his family. As the day went on, Zach was on the phone and was chatting up a storm … yes, there were some tears shed as you could see those in attendance were amazed and moved that on the day of the tournament to support him … he was talking!!! Huge shout out to all team participating - there were some great ball games played. In the end it came down to Tichborne Termites (Riley Teal's team) facing off against Balls Deep (Chase Matson's team) with the Termites taking the game. Thank you to both teams for donating their winnings back to Zach. You got this Zach - the community is behind you.
