Southern Frontenac Community Services (SFCSC), ran a capital campaign for the expansion of its facilities to better reach and operate their services in the community.
When Matt, Will and John Trousdale of the Sydenham HHBC, Inverary HHBC and Foodland were approached to assist financially, they wanted to help. They are the current generation managing the Trousdale businesses.
They mentioned that one of the pleasures of running a business in a rural community is seeing familiar faces, being able to provide local jobs, along with the importance of giving back to the community.
There is a long history of support from the Trousdales to SFCSC, in fact, John Trousdale rented one of the original spaces to SFCSC when the organization was in its early years, in 2001, and built and addition at that location to accommodate their organization’s growth a few years later.
Will and Matt know the importance of supporting local and wanted to contribute. The community supports our stores which allows us to support the community. “We do it because of the lasting impact it has on our community, it really is the right thing to do”. This giving spirit, is so appreciated by the community, and continues to have an impact. SFCSC greatly appreciates the longstanding support provided by Trousdales. Their contributions have been invaluable in helping SFCSC achieve their mission of supporting the community through various programs and services.
This enduring partnership highlights the strength of community collaboration and the positive impact of local support on the lives of many individuals and families. SFCSC extends its heartfelt gratitude to Trousdales for their continued commitment and generosity.
