What a great turn out we had Saturday December 7th. Santa saw 185 children and got to hear their wish lists firsthand today during our 5th annual Breakfast with Santa. In total the Lions welcomed 374 community members to enjoy warm pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon and fruit. The Frontenac Dairy Farmers donated white and chocolate milk to make the perfect breakfast meal for all to enjoy. What better way to end the meal then with a fresh baked dessert, thank you to Mrs. Garrett’s Bake Shop and Willard’s Bakery. Maple Syrup was donated for the pancakes by local resident Bryce Burns. And our eggs were donated by The Egg Basket.
The Lions had a wonderful time interacting with the community and seeing all the wonderful smiles on the faces of the young ones. Lion Catherine and Taylor had a blast creating an array of wonderful and colourful reindeer during their face painting time at the event. The craft table saw many children creating unique art pieces and then handing to Santa when they went for their visit with him.
We are already planning the 6th annual event for 2025, which will be held on December 6th, so mark your calendars.
Thank you for supporting Storrington Lions Club which allows us to continue to Serve the Community. If you want more information, go to our Facebook and Instagram pages. We are always looking for more volunteers, come on out and see what we are about.
