BarnettThe Frontenac Fury Bantam team had a terrific season and were crowned the 2010/11 Greater Kingston Girls Hockey Association Champions for the Bantam House League division. The girls melded right from the beginning, which resulted in only two losses all regular season. The team battled through playoffs and won the finals against Kingston Gold, due to exceptional goal tending by Jessica Turner-Davey (her year resulted in 14 shut outs, a new personal best) and some amazing plays by the forwards and defence.

Having won the Carleton Place Cyclone Challenge tournament in December 2010 and having reached the semi-finals in the Greater Kingston Ice Wolves house league tournament in January 2011, the team travelled to Kanata in March 2011 to participate in the 28th Kanata Girls House League tournament. The girls dominated in the round robin and the semi-finals to make it to the finals against the Gananoque Royals. In one of the most exciting games of the tournament, the Fury was defeated 1-0, but the girls never gave up and until the last second, it could have gone either way.

Congratulations to the Bantam Fury team on a great year.
